The cheapest Ruger 10/22 mag case you can get
I spend a lot of time shooting my Ruger 10/22. It's an easy rifle with unlimited aftermarket upgrades. The .22LR cartridge is soft shooting and great for practising on the cheap.
If you live in a "high-capacity" mag ban state, the 10-round rotary magazine is your only realistic choice. Those magazines are cheap; I own a two dozen of them!
You can spend good money buying a nice case like the "Pelican 1040 Micro Case," which houses 10 of the 10-round magazines. Each case will run you about $30 as of this writing.

Or you can save that money to buy more ammo, while following the environment-friendly reduce-reuse-recycle method!
The below are takeout containers from my favorite local Thai restaurant. As you can see, the containers can easily hold 12 rotary magazines, or 10 rotary magazines with a Lula Magloader.

Based on my experience, these containers easily last 20-30 trips to the range. Their lids are designed to snap tightly to prevent Thai broth/sauce from leaking; that also means the lids are tight enough to prevent the mags from falling out and making a cluttery mess in your range bag.
Save your money and give this technique a try!
