Introducing the first Indian Gunner target
When I first got into shooting sports, I used to buy targets online — simple bullseyes, sight-in grids, splatterburst, multi-color reactive, even the classic (and controversial) Osama Bin Laden ones.
Over time I realized I could save a lot of money printing my own. All you need is US Letter paper and a well-designed PDF.
Then someone gave me a pack of Japanese B4 paper. I had no regular use for it… until the idea hit me: why not design my own targets?
Using nothing more than Microsoft Excel, I started experimenting with colors, layouts, and styles. After a few tries, I created a sight-in target I really liked.
Designing your own targets is surprisingly fun.
Sharing them with the world is even better.
So here’s my first one: the Indian Gunner Target!
It’s a clean, practical target for the range. Hang it at 100 yards and you get:
- X-ring = 0.5 MOA
- Red ring = 1 MOA
- Then 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6 MOA rings outward
If you’re new to MOA (Minute of Angle), it’s simply a unit of angular measurement that makes it easy to adjust your sights and zero your rifle. I’ll drop a full beginner-friendly article on MOA in the future.
Print it, shoot it, and let me know how it works for you!
I will be adding more to the new Targets page. Stay tuned!
